Despite a traumatic start to life, at-risk young people still nurture strong aspirations and ideals. They still have a vision for what they want to achieve in life. They still have a need to be heard, to belong and to be healthy. And they still want to contribute to their community.
City YMCA London exists to make that possible for those young people, to give them the security to make a future of their own choosing. The belief that we have makes our work all the more effective. Yet over the last two years the numbers of young Londoners made homeless has more than doubled, often through no fault of their own.
Our 5-year vision is to double the number of young people that we support and to set new standards in hostel and move-on accommodation in London.
Friends of City YMCA London help uphold our heritage through their long-standing commitment. They provide valuable support towards our vision. They offer advice, open doors and raise funds making a huge impact to our cause.
New members are invited to join on the commendation of an existing Friend. I would be delighted if you would lend your support and join me as a Friend of City YMCA London.
If interested, we would be delighted to consider your application.
